When you travel with Meridian 72°, 1% of your total expenses, excluding the airfare, will be given to the DAPHNE Research & Consulting Institute. This Colombian research institute supports local environmental and social development projects.

STAFF PROFILE

• Academic background in Biology, Ecology, Anthropology, Architecture and Sociology.
• Training in First aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses endorsed by the Colombian Red Cross and/or WMI (Wilderness Medicine Institute).
• Bilingual (English, French and German).
• Experience in-group management.
• Friendly, organized, disciplined and responsible.

SAFETY

• In MERIDIAN 72°, safety is our main goal. We carefully plan every destination and program taking into account access, transportation, location of health centers, etc.
• We use field equipments of best quality (i. eKelty, MSR, Prijon, Perception, Kelty and Mammut).

EMERGENCY PLANS

Each destination has both an Emergency and Contingency Plan. Each plan includes the following information:

• Nearby Police station, hospital and ambulance, contact information
• Access routes (paths and approximate distances)
• Procedure Manual
• Randez-vous
• Travel approximate time, from beginning to end
